Cookie Policy

Version 1 — last updated 2026-09-10

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies do the same job in a different way — for example items kept in your browser's local storage, or a tiny image or piece of code loaded from another company's server. This policy covers all of them, not only cookies.

Necessary versus optional

Some technologies are needed to deliver the website securely or to do something you have specifically asked for, such as signing in. These do not require your permission. Everything else is optional and is switched off until you turn it on. We do not treat something as necessary simply because it would be useful to our business.

What we actually use

At the time of writing this website uses no analytics, no advertising, no social media pixels, no session recording, no heat mapping, no A/B testing, no chat widget, no maps and no embedded video. Fonts and images are served from our own site, so your browser does not contact another company when you visit. The only items set are listed below.

The categories we use

  • Necessary — Always active

Needed for security and for functions you specifically ask for, such as signing in to the content system and remembering your privacy choice. These cannot be switched off, because the website cannot be delivered securely without them.

  • Preferences and optional features — Off by default

Remembers optional choices you make, or switches on non-essential features supplied by another company.

  • Analytics — Off by default

Measures how the website is used and how well it performs, so we can improve it. Never used for advertising or for building a profile of you.

  • Marketing — Off by default

Advertising, retargeting, social media pixels, tracking across other websites, audience building and measuring the results of adverts.

How to accept, reject or change your choice

When you first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject all and Manage preferences with equal prominence. You can change your mind at any time using the link, which appears in the footer of every page. Withdrawing permission is exactly as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately.

Your browser also has its own cookie controls. Those are an additional protection that you control — we never treat a browser setting, scrolling, continuing to browse, or closing the banner as permission.

If you reject optional technologies

Nothing is lost. Every page, the gallery, the news section and the contact form work exactly the same. We do not use a cookie wall and access is never conditional on accepting.

Third parties and transfers outside the UK

No third party currently receives data through this website's front end. Our hosting and database provider processes information on our behalf; the countries involved and the transfer safeguards are set out in the Privacy Notice.
